Dedicated to Ian Curtis and Joy Division, the original Gothic Group...Joy Division is an English rock band formed in 1976 in Salford, Greater Manchester. Originally named Warsaw, the band primarily consisted of Ian Curtis (vocals and occasional guitar), Bernard Sumner (guitar and keyboards), [1] Peter Hook (bass guitar and backing vocals) and Stephen Morris (drums and percussion).
Ian Curtis. The driving force behind Joy Division's dark vision, hanged himself in his Macclesfield home as the band rested between a European and American tour. After Ian Curtis's untimely death on May 18th, 1980 the band eventually goes on as New Order.
